Almo Nature Dog Food- Which Dog Food

Almo Nature have classified their dog food products into 4 groups to help you understand and choose appropriate products for your dog. These are graded from the top-of-the-range Natural tinned products down to the Basic foods. There are 2 ingredient categories that differ in quality, human grade or by-products, and 2 food categories with and without additives (integrated and not-integrated).

NATURAL		Almo Nature's Natural dog foods are only made of white meats, red meats, fish and vegetables. These ingredients are preserved in their cooking broth with the sole addition of a small percentage of rice. All by-products are absolutely excluded, and so are mineral and vitamin supplements and additives.
CUISINE / JELLY		Almo Nature dog foods belonging to the Cuisine range contain parts of meats or fish that are suitable for human consumption but are not channelled to the sector for commercial reasons, integrated with jelly, sauces, vegetables (and derivatives) or cereals (and derivatives), and integrated with vitamins, minerals and other nutrients.
TASTE		The Taste category offers Almo Nature foods that are made of natural by-products of meat and fish with added natural ingredients of vegetal origin (vegetables, cereals). There is no addition of supplementary minerals, vitamins or additives.
BASIC		Almo Nature's Basic foods contain by-products of meat and fish integrated with vitamins, minerals and other nutrients. Holistic range offers 5 products corresponding to 5 protein sources.

It is considered that ingredients suitable for human consumption (but channelled to the pet food sector for commercial reasons) are nutritionally superior to by-product ingredients that are only suitable for pet food.

Food Categories

The 2 food categories are:

not integrated, without the addition of vitamins, minerals or additives. Foods designed for those who think that the best diet alternates natural sources of nutrients without added artificial ingredients, consistent with thousands of years of tradition;

integrated, that envisage the addition of vitamins, minerals, probiotics and/or other ingredients. Designed for those who think that the diet either can or must always remain the same with minimum variations, only envisaging significant changes during the three essential phases of life: puppy, adult, senior.
